Coronovirus13 March 2020 (by Joanna Walters (JWalters)) |
The current advice is:
Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
We want to reassure you all that we are regularly checking the DfE website: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-educational-settingsabout-covid-19/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19 and the Local Authority for updates regarding the Coronavirus. There is a lot of media speculation and opinion suggesting that schools should do certain things, but we will only act on advice given to us through the DfE and NHS. At the moment we will stay open, visits and visitors that we have planned for the next few weeks will continue, we will continue to run our full and exciting curriculum and we will continue with inviting parents in for Achievement Assemblies on Fridays. This is a good opportunity though to prepare for potential closure. Should we be forced to close, information during that closure will be communicated through our school website, our text service and our Twitter feed. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you are receiving our news app updates by having the School Jotter App on your phone, that you follow us on Twitter (@allsaint).
